“I died, and behold I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of Death and Hades.” Revelation 1:18 ESV
Jesus, Sunday has arrived! Hallelujah! Today you came out of the grave. Death could not hold you. You are alive forevermore. You are all powerful and nothing can stop you. Your death and resurrection made it clear to Satan that he has no authority and is defeated. You died and conquered death. You hold the keys. You have control. You determine who will enter death and hell and who will enter eternal life in heaven with you. Those of us who call you our Lord and Master have no reason to fear death or hell. We can rest in peace. We praise you for your power. We praise you that death can’t hold you down. We praise you for the freedom you bought for us.
We praise you that the power of your death and resurrection doesn’t stop with you. You have given us your authority. When we stand in faith and say your name, we can see miracles happen. We can see the dead raised to life. We can see the sick healed. We can see mountains move and strongholds fall. We can see the captives set free. Jesus, teach us how to walk in the authority of your name. Not for our glory, but to bring glory to your name and shine your light to the lost! You are worthy of your name being glorified to the end of the earth, until every soul has heard. All praise be to your mighty name! We praise you this Easter Sunday and for all eternity!
