“You have tried my heart, you have visited me by night, you have tested me, and you will find nothing; I have purposed that my mouth will not transgress. With regard to the works of man, by the word of your lips I have avoided the ways of the violent. My steps have held fast to your paths; my feet have not slipped.” Psalm 17:3-5 ESV
Lord, we pray that you would make these words true in our lives. When you walk us through the times of testing, we want to make it through without you finding anything wrong. Even in the hardest and darkest of seasons we want to press into you harder. Never let complaining or disbelief in you or your goodness come out of our mouth. We want to honor you at all times and in all seasons. Give us a heart of gratitude that always searches out the good in every situation.
Lord, help us to always avoid the ways of the violent. Let love mark our every action. Lead and guide our every step and help us to hold fast to the path that you have laid out before us. Give us your insight and revelation from your Word and help us apply it to every area of our lives, so that we are not found slipping. Draw us into a close relationship with you and help us stay in the safety found under your wings.
In Jesus name, amen.
