May 22, 2025 - Psalm‬ ‭54‬:‭6‬-‭7‬

“With a freewill offering I will sacrifice to you; I will give thanks to your name, O Lord, for it is good. For he has delivered me from every trouble, and my eye has looked in triumph on my enemies.” Psalm 54:6-7 ESV

Lord, we give of all that we are to you. There is nothing that we have of greater value to give you other than ourselves. You are worthy of our everything. We praise your holy name. We praise you for your goodness. We could list the ways you are good to us and never reach an end. How wonderful that we have all eternity to work on compiling that list. The way you care for us, protect us, forgive us, love us, guide us, delight in us, provide for us, give us the joys of our hearts…is more than what we can comprehend. While here on earth we will never even grasp the extent of all that you have done for us. We praise you again and again for all you are and all you do for us.

We praise you for delivering us from every trouble, even the ones we bring on ourselves time after time. Sometimes it is like we will never learn, and it is so easy to get frustrated with ourselves. I am sure you get frustrated with us as well, but you are still there loving us. Even when we must walk through the consequences of our actions, it never changes your great love for us. We praise you for overcoming our enemies. You are always there for us and always loving us. You will never fail us or forsake us. You are so wonderful to us. All praise be to your name, forever and ever.
