“All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.” 2 Timothy 3:16-17 ESV

Lord, we praise you for giving us your Word. They are not just words, they are you – living and breathing. Your Word meets each of us where we are and reveals more of who you are to us. It is amazing how we can read something that we have read many times before, but this time it jumps off the page at us and speaks directly to our soul. It is you speaking to us. We can’t thank you enough for this amazing gift. Give us a greater love for it. Stir our desire to dig deeper into it and gain a greater understanding of who you are. Let us hunger for more. Increase our capacity to understand it and to lock it into our memory. Write it on our hearts, oh Lord, and let it transform us to be more like you. Use it to make us complete in you. Equip us for every good work you have planned for us.

Lord, empower us to use your Word to bring to life to others. Whether you use us to teach in front of crowds or in one-on-one situations, equip each of us on how to explain your Word to others in a way that brings revelation to who you are. Use us to draw others closer to you and see you do your good work in and through them too. What an honor it is to be used by you.

In Jesus name, amen.
