March 27, 2025 - Hosea‬ ‭2‬:‭19‬-‭20

“I will make you my wife forever, showing you righteousness and justice, unfailing love and compassion. I will be faithful to you and make you mine, and you will finally know me as the Lord.” Hosea 2:19-20 NLT

Jesus, what a beautiful passage. It is such an honor to be your wife. Help us truly see you as our husband. We praise you for how you love us. Thank you that it is unfailing and unconditional. You have so much compassion for us. We don’t have to earn your love or perform perfectly to receive it. You love us just as we are. Your love is perfect, whole, and complete all the time. There is nothing we could do or not do that will make you love us more or less. Our actions might disappoint you - they might even hurt you - but they will not diminish your love. But Lord, if we truly love you, we will want to do things that bring you joy. Let it be our love for you that motivates our actions.

Holy Spirit, grow our love for you. Help us to be faithful to you like you are to us. We want to invest in our relationship with you daily. Open our eyes to notice you all around us all day. Teach us how to invite you into all that we do. We want to do each task in our day with you, even the small and mundane things. Help us learn how to be in constant conversation with you, and not just to talk but to also listen to you. Help us be attentive to your voice, your movements, and your desires. We want to know your heart and dreams. We want to be people that you can trust to share your deepest secrets with. We want to know you deeply and intimately. Be the thing that we love more than anything else. Let our love for you be a fervent kind of love. Our relationship with you is truly the greatest treasure we could ever have.
