“Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice!” Philippians 4:4 NLT

Lord, today we want to invade the world with a smile. A smile is a powerful thing. It brightens people’s day and is often contagious. We ask for you to help each of us overflow with your joy to the world around us. Let us live a lifestyle of rejoicing. Help us always remember regardless of what we are facing that we have many reasons to rejoice. Let us be like Paul and Silas, even when locked up in prison they stayed focused on you and rejoiced instead of focusing on the terrible circumstances and getting depressed. No matter what we face, help us keep our perspective focused on you and your joy shining through.

We want to be the bright spot in someone’s day today. Even in the craziness of all that is going on today, remind us to really see the people around us and if all we can offer is a smile let it be a genuine smile that shines your love.

Lord, let us live out Rom 12:11, “Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.” Renew and refresh us today so that we are living for you in zeal and fervor. Help us prioritize taking the time each day to be filled with you so we are living out of an abundance.

Lord, we thank you that you are a God that gives us what we need each day if we take the time to receive it. You don’t expect us to keep going on empty or live off stale bread. You are so amazing and faithful to us. Thank you for being so good to us. Today, help us spread that goodness to others through our smile and we pray that would create opportunities to share even more.

In Jesus name, amen.
