May 2, 2025 - 1 Samuel‬ ‭12‬:‭24

“Only fear the Lord and serve him faithfully with all your heart. For consider what great things he has done for you.” 1 Samuel 12:24 ESV

Lord, it is overwhelming to think about all the great things you have ever done for us. Every breath we have ever breathed was a gift from you. The mercy that you have poured out over each of our lives is more than we can even begin to understand. The grace that you give us each day is amazing. You are the perfect conductor in the orchestra of life. The way you love us, protect us, guide us, care for us, mourn with us, laugh with us, intercede over us, cheer us on…is remarkable. That list could go on and on. The fact that you, God Almighty, would do any of the above for us is incomprehensible. Who are we compared to you? We don’t deserve anything from you. Yet the more we get to know you and understand your great love, the more grateful we are for you. We praise you for your great work in our lives.

Holy Spirit, open our eyes to all the ways that God is working in our lives. Remind us of the great things that he has done. Help us learn to live in the fear of the Lord. Help us serve him faithfully every day with all our hearts. Let us seek him and his kingdom ways above all else. You are worthy to receive all that we are. Thank you for all your great works in our lives.
